During my stay in Hong Kong, I was fortunate enough to visit SEVVA and taste one of its iconic cakes. This delicious cake had moist layers of chocolate cake layered with light whipped cream and fresh berry fruit compote. My favorite part was the colorful and delicious decoration! With a heaping amount of blue cotton candy on top and used pastel marshmallows around the edges to create a fun, colorful and delicious cake. Each bite was a harmonious combination of sweet cream, flavorful fruit and light cake.
Gokson’s talents go farther than a cake empire and thriving restaurant, she has successfully launched an award winning coffee table book as well. Titled “Butterflies and All Things Sweet” and with over 280 pages, this book features photographs of Ms B’s stylish cakes and sweets. According to Gokson, butterflies are motivating because they create beautiful things in such a short period of time. Her book made a splash with parties across the globe including one at the Ralph Lauren flagship store on Madison Avenue. Praised by many, it was awarded the Top Award for Art and Photography at the Paris Book Awards festival in 2014 and two other prestigious awards at the Benjamin Franklin Awards and the Sydney Design awards.
